AgileEngine is seeking a Python Developer in Málaga to build and scale an event-driven integration platform, including APIs, resilience, and AI-facing integrations.

The role requires 4+ years of production Python experience, strong knowledge of event-driven architecture, REST/OpenAPI, and streaming (Kafka). You will work with GenAI tooling, CI/CD, Linux, and containerized services to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production Python experience with typed, tested, packaged services and APIs.
• Strong grasp of event-driven and asynchronous architecture (messaging, durable logs, idempotency, retries).
• REST API design and OpenAPI experience; familiarity with AsyncAPI contracts.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Python service handling event taxonomy and replayable logs.
• Design and maintain OpenAPI/AsyncAPI interfaces.
• Create resilience mechanisms for degraded/upstream scenarios.
• Support multiple access patterns (fire-and-forget, submit-and-poll, hooks) for consumers.
