Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations. You will lead a team, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires 6+ years in production with at least 2 in supervision, strong leadership, and knowledge of lean methods. You will collaborate with maintenance and QA to keep targets met.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production line workers
• Ensure all production operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with company standards
• Monitor production output and quality, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Train and mentor new and existing production staff
• Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
• Manage work schedules and allocate resources effectively
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality control departments to resolve operational issues
