Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a driven Production Efficiency Engineer for a facility in Queenstown to enhance operational output, reduce waste, and ensure quality and safety standards. You will identify inefficiencies, develop solutions, and lead the adoption of lean methodologies to improve throughput.

Collaborating with production, maintenance, and quality teams, you will analyze data, run Kaizen events, define standard work, and train staff on new procedures to sustain gains and elevate performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in production efficiency, process improvement, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with Lean tools and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement using lean manufacturing principles.
• Develop, test, and implement new process designs and operational strategies to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.
• Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S, Kaizen events, and standard work development.
• Monitor production performance using key metrics and data analysis, providing regular reports on progress and impact.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence.
• Train production staff on new procedures and best practices to ensure consistent implementation of improvements in Queenstown .
