Placements24 is recruiting a Construction Site Manager to lead operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This senior role demands strong leadership, robust project management, and a deep understanding of construction management practices.

You will oversee site teams, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, manage schedules and budgets, and report progress to senior stakeholders. Residency in the region or willingness to relocate is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in construction management, with ≥3 years in a Site Manager role.
• Proven success in managing complex building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management best practices.
• Experience with MS Project or Primavera P6 and construction management platforms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• OHSA health and safety knowledge and quality management systems.
• Professional SACPCMP registration is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the Eastern Cape region.
• Residency in or willingness to relocate to the Queenstown area.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring project objectives are met.
• Develop and implement detailed site execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage and lead project teams, including direct reports, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions proactively.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Manage site logistics, equipment, and material procurement.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Resolve site-related issues and conflicts effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and legal requirements.
