Job summary

Morningstar is seeking experienced Senior Data Research Analysts in Madrid for our EMEA Data Team. You’ll lead data initiatives, ensure accuracy, and manage provider relationships to deliver high-quality investment data.

You’ll translate client requests into detailed specs, collaborate with global teams, and apply LEAN Six Sigma to improve processes and tools, driving impactful data-driven results for investors worldwide.

Qualifications

• Multilingual communicator: fluent in Thai and English.
• Financial data specialist: strong understanding of investment data, methodologies, fund structures.
• Strategic problem solver: ownership of data challenges and process improvements.
• Technically skilled & process-oriented: proficient in Excel and data quality methodologies; strong PM skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead data initiatives to improve accuracy, timeliness, and coverage of investment data.
• Act as a data expert on fund structures, methodologies, and calculations.
• Build and maintain relationships with data providers; set up acquisition channels and handle escalations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex data issues.
• Implement LEAN Six Sigma methodologies to enhance processes and analytical tools.
• Ensure high levels of data accuracy, completeness, and quality for internal and external clients.
• Manage high volumes of data, meeting deadlines while continuously improving workflows.
• Translate internal client requests into detailed specifications and user stories to drive product enhancements.
