Morningstar in Madrid is seeking a Data Research Analyst who speaks Thai, Japanese, or Korean alongside English to join a team delivering accurate financial data for Empower Investors’ Success.

You will collaborate with the Global Data Team and Local Business Representatives to ensure data quality across markets, meeting deadlines and supporting clients with robust data solutions.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and at least two other languages.

• Detail-oriented data enthusiast with a solid understanding of data quality, methodologies and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; project management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the global data teams.
• Be the data expert on investment data points, processes, methodologies, calculations & different fund structures.
• Manage business relationships with fund companies and set up acquisition channels; act as escalation point.
• Meet predetermined production deadlines for internal and external clients.
• Continuously evaluate procedures, create and enhance analytical tools, and implement process improvement projects.
• Utilize project management methodologies such as LEAN Six Sigma to track and resolve complex data issues.
• Collect and maintain Morningstar data with high accuracy, completeness and coverage.
• Demonstrate ownership of data issues and provide timely updates and resolutions.
• Understand internal partners' roles to expedite issue resolution.
• Translate requests into detailed specifications and user stories.
• Improve client use cases to ensure new functionality meets expectations.

About This Role

We’re looking for driven Thai, Japanese and Korean speakers to join our team as an Data Research Analyst. We are a team of data analysts taking pride in delivering top-quality financial data to Empower Investors’ Success. In this role, you will work closely with the Global Data Team and Local Business Representatives to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data across global markets, collaborating with a dynamic team and gaining expertise in data acquisition and management.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with the global data teams
• Data expert on investment data points, processes, methodologies, calculations & different fund structures
• Manage business relationships with fund companies. Connecting with providers & setting up acquisition channels as well as acting as a point of escalation
• Meet the predetermined production deadlines for internal and external clients
• Continuously evaluate procedures, create and enhance analytical tools, and implement process improvement projects.
• Utilize project management methodologies such as LEAN Six Sigma to track, evaluate and determine resolution approach for complex data issues.
• Collect and maintain Morningstar data, ensuring high levels of data accuracy, completeness and coverage.
• Demonstrate a high sense of ownership of the issues in the data ticket queue to be responsive and provide timely updates, follow-up, expedition, and resolution.
• Understand roles, responsibilities, and expertise of internal partners to expedite issue resolution.
• Translate requests from internal clients into detailed written specifications and user stories.
• Improve and document client use cases to ensure any new functionality meets and exceeds client expectations

Who You Are

Multilingual Communicator: You are fluent in English and minimum two other languages (such as Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai, Japanese, or Korean), which allows you to effectively work with providers from different countries and collaborate across international markets.

Team Player with Client Focus: You excel in collaborative environments, building strong relationships with team members from diverse backgrounds and addressing client needs with empathy and attention.

Detail-Oriented Data Enthusiast: Passionate about the financial industry and investment data, you bring a solid understanding of data quality, methodologies, and processes. Your ability to organize, manage high data volumes, and meet deadlines sets you apart.

Technically Skilled & Proactive: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, you leverage your organizational skills to tackle complex projects. Previous project management experience and a knack for operational and performance data make you a valuable asset to any cross-functional team.

Base Salary Compensation Range

EUR 29.000,00-39.000,00

Bonus Target:

5% Annual

We expect the compensation and target bonus for this role to fall within the stated range. The specific compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
