ERNI Spain is seeking a senior embedded software engineer to define and evolve the software architecture for next-generation medical robotics platforms. You will work on modern C++, RTOS environments and EtherCAT, ensuring safety-critical compliance for medical devices.

The role emphasizes mentorship, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. A hybrid model is typical, with some onsite work in Barcelona and supportive onboarding.

Qualifikationen

7+ years of software engineering experience in embedded or real-time systems.
Expert knowledge of modern C++, embedded systems, RTOS environments and EtherCAT.
Nice to have: experience with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485.

Join our expert team to work on a Medical Technology project, contributing to the development of advanced robotic software systems. You will apply your knowledge of Modern C++, QNX/RTOS, EtherCAT and safety-critical architectures to build reliable and compliant solutions.

What you will bring

7+ years of software engineering experience, including software architecture or technical leadership in embedded software or real-time systems.
Expert knowledge of Modern C++, embedded systems, RTOS environments and EtherCAT-based real-time control systems.
Strong background in testing practices, including CI, code coverage, static and dynamic analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Nice to have: experience developing regulated medical device software under IEC 62304, ISO 14971 and ISO 13485.
Fluent Spanish and strong English communication skills.
