Job summary

ERNI is seeking a senior software architect for a medical robotics platform. You will lead the software architecture of embedded real-time systems using Modern C++, QNX/RTOS, and EtherCAT to deliver safe, compliant medical device software.

You will mentor engineers, drive cybersecurity and connectivity architecture, and support regulatory submissions while contributing to agile delivery in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience including software architecture or technical leadership in embedded or real-time systems.
• Expert knowledge of Modern C++, RTOS environments (ideally QNX) and EtherCAT-based real-time control systems.
• Experience developing regulated medical device software under IEC 62304, ISO 14971 and ISO 13485.
• Strong background in testing practices including CI, code coverage, static and dynamic analysis and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Fluent Spanish and strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the software architecture across robotic and embedded systems while ensuring compliance with medical device standards.
• Define interfaces, safety mechanisms and software partitioning; mentor engineering teams.
