Job summary

ERNI is seeking a senior software architect to define and evolve the architecture for a medical robotics platform, focusing on Modern C++, QNX RTOS, and EtherCAT in safety-critical environments.

You will own interfaces, safety mechanisms and software partitioning, mentor teams, and support regulatory documentation while contributing to agile delivery in a hybrid work model in Barcelona, Spain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with architecture or technical leadership in embedded/real-time systems.
• Expert knowledge of Modern C++, RTOS environments (ideally QNX) and EtherCAT-based real-time control systems.
• Experience developing regulated medical device software under IEC 62304, ISO 14971 and ISO 13485.
• Strong testing practices including CI, code coverage, static and dynamic analysis and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Fluent Spanish and strong English communication skills.

You will apply your knowledge of Modern C++, QNX/RTOS, EtherCAT and safety-critical architectures to build reliable and compliant solutions. At ERNI, you are never just a number. What You Will Bring
