Wasmer is seeking a passionate Rust engineer to design, build, and scale Wasmer Edge, a globally distributed compute cloud powered by WebAssembly.

You will work on a small, ambitious team to develop the core platform, scheduler, and networking layers, delivering reliable, high-performance, multi-region services. The role suits a self-driven engineer comfortable in a startup environment and CET-friendly hours.

Formación

• Proficiency in Rust and strong systems programming ethos.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-concurrency software.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Strong Linux fundamentals for production environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced startup setting.
• Based in CET timezone or within ±2h.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain core components of the global compute platform in Rust.
• Develop the scheduler and orchestration logic for deploying and managing WebAssembly workloads.
• Build and optimize low-latency networking, service mesh, persistence layers, and load balancers.
• Collaborate on the operational strategy for a highly available, multi-region platform.
