Cloudera is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and build high-performance Rust services for Anywhere Cloud (AWC) on Kubernetes. You will own infrastructure where correctness prevents security bypasses and memory growth risks, while mentoring teammates and setting direction for performance-critical components.

You will lead engineering across authentication, proxies, logging, and data-path services, with a strong emphasis on testing, observability, and cross-team collaboration.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in performance- or security-critical systems.
• Shipped production Rust services; comfortable with async Rust and tokio/hyper.
• Strong understanding of networking, memory, streaming, and concurrency.
• Security-focused with protocols, auth, and input validation knowledge.
• Experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes.

Responsabilidades

• Build Rust-based infrastructure services in the data path and ship from design to production.
• Ensure correctness and security in code, including tests and fuzzing.
• Design new infrastructure components and define module boundaries and memory budgets.
• Develop observability with telemetry, metrics, and health endpoints.
• Guide other teams on systems-level design and performance optimizations.
• Drive design documents and testing strategies for new components.
