Formación

• Ability to work with RF/digital/analog circuits hardware.
• 2+ years experience in similar positions.
• Experience in measurements with RF equipment and antennas.

The role

The RF engineer will carry out the RF/Antenna design activities in order to ensure the technical and functional feasibility of the products working in a multidisciplinary team with the objective of reaching cost, quality and timing goals established by the direction of the projects.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in the development and validation of the projects together with a multidisciplinary team leading the Antenna / RF development topics (front ends, LNA, RF filters, antennas… ) following the IDS (Idneo Development System).

• Understand the requirements of our customer and following the system architecture, give direct technical feedbacks to perform schematic and product performance related to RF topics.

• Carry out the design revision under the supervision of the Master in Design.

• Support the PCB layout group, together with the HW engineer to finalise a good PCB layout quality, according to RF design rules.

• Participate in the definition & execution of RF/Hardware verification unitary test plans

• Perform the functional validation and ensure the functionality of the development prototypes delivery to customer.

• Take part in the product and process FMEA’s.

• Been able to perform Design quality activities as DFMEA, FTA, Worst Case calculations, 8D.

• Manage effectively the product modifications during the development.

• Cooperate with manufacturing teams in the products industrialization.

• Cooperate with Purchasing dept. and suppliers to ensure the optimization of the components in terms of cost, quality and manufacturability.

• Generate reduction cost ideas and conduct their implementation.

• Support the generation of all the Electronic Design document outputs:

  • Electrical BOM part list (maximizing the Standard Part list selection), Schematics , and PCB (Printed Circuit board) Layout CAD Design and (with the help of the ECAD technician) the related Manufacturing Standard Doc’s (for Adjustment, Testing, Quality Inspection)

• Follow Health & Safety regulations of the workcenter and contribute to their improvement.

• University Engineering Degree (mainly in Electronics, Software or Telecommunications)

Ability to work with RF/digital/analog circuits hardware. Wireless communication technology knowledge (GSM/GPRS/3G/LTE/5G/BT/WIFI/Broadcasting/Radar/etc...)
Desired Skills:

• EM simulations tools knowledge (i.e. FEKO, HFSS, etc…)

• CAD/CAE tools knowledge (i.e. ALTIUM, etc...) .

• EDA tools knowledge (AWR, ADS, etc...).

• Experience in measurements with RF equipment / antennas and / or communication systems.

• English advanced level

• 2 or more years in similar positions
