Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead - Remote Operations Center for wind energy in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor offshore wind assets from a remote center, coordinating with site teams to ensure turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will diagnose issues, analyze data, and drive improvements, with responsibilities spanning commissioning and service phases and occasional on-call duties. Fluency in English and EU relocation eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent in wind energy
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotations
