Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for its Surgical Robotics portfolio within EMEA. The role focuses on explaining and resolving complex issues related to the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to health care professionals, start-up specialists, and field service engineers.

The position requires a biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering degree with several years in robotics, fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian, and willingness to travel for on-site support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years, or advanced degree with 2+ years, or medical degree with tech skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control within large capital equipment environments.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
• Experience analyzing technical issues for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as liaison between stakeholders and operating unit.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues; initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other tech service specialists to troubleshoot complex requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite work domestically and internationally.
• Regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 rotating.
