Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Service Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support Hugo RAS and DS1 across EMEA. The role requires strong engineering background, multilingual communication, and experience with robotics in a capital equipment environment.

Candidate will provide remote technical support to HCP, SUS, and FSE, escalate issues, and collaborate with peers. Occasional domestic and international on-site work is possible, with standard hours and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian is required (C1/C2).
• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering (or medical degree with technical skills).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Robotic Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as a technical liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
• Drive escalation processes to resolve customer issues; initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring substantial judgment; own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite support/training domestically and internationally.
• Regular working hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7AM–7PM with rotating coverage.
