Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) system and the DS1 AI-powered platform across EMEA. The role emphasizes strong communication, technical expertise, and a patient-centric approach.

You will provide remote support, coordinate escalations, and collaborate with field service engineers while occasionally traveling for onsite training and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical, electrical or mechanical engineering, with required experience; or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive the escalation process to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Conduct activities requiring judgment and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure documentation and system entries are completed promptly.
• Support remote work with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
