Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Service Specialist for Surgical Robotics to provide expert remote support for the Hugo system and DS1 across EMEA. The role requires strong technical and communication skills, with on-call duties and international travel for on-site training when required.

Candidates should have a STEM engineering degree with robotics or motion-control experience, fluency in PT/EN/IT, and a proven track record of problem-solving in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years relevant experience, or higher degree with 2+ years.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in large capital equipment.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Experience analyzing technical issues for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive escalation and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Own continuous improvement projects requiring judgment.
• Ensure documentation/system entries are completed promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Work hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 rotation.
