Job summary

Eurofins seeks a Financial Controller to lead all accounting operations across Spain, with full remote flexibility. The role requires driving compliance with Spanish GAAP and IFRS, overseeing payroll, and delivering strategic financial insights to senior management.

You will mentor a distributed team, implement controls, manage budgeting and forecasting, coordinate external audits, and optimize financial systems. Fluent English and Spanish are essential; CPA/ACCA preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance with senior/controller level responsibility.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Expertise in SAP or Oracle; advanced Excel skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements under Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team and foster collaboration.
• Coordinate and support external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations for business decisions.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
