BioMérieux Inc. is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the territory and nationally, delivering best-in-class support remotely with occasional overnight travel.

The role involves installing, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing instruments, and promoting service agreements while collaborating with Sales and Applications to drive revenue. Training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO is required in year one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 2+ years troubleshooting electro-mechanical, electronic, or computer systems.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Promote service agreements and identify cross-functional sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings like preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO within the first year.
• Travel for scheduled and unscheduled visits, with overnight stays as needed.
• Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation (~every 5 weeks).
• Maintain documentation, QA checklists, and training records.
• Manage travel scheduling and expense reporting.
