Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform planned maintenance, hardware and software updates, and assist with installations. The role emphasizes first-line service and strong customer relationships, with travel within the service area and a focus on NPS and KPI targets.

Preferred candidates hold an engineering degree and have solid English communication skills, plus experience with analytical tools. Location is Spain (Quintanavides) with remote work options where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Engineering degree in Medical, Electrical, Mechanical, Biology, or Biomedical Technology preferred.
• Proven track record in a similar position with management and customer references.
• Strong communication with laboratory staff.
• Experience using analytical tools and software.
• Good computer skills and fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line service to customers (interventions which may require less than 4 hours labor).
• Schedule and perform planned/predictive maintenance (PM/PdM).
• Schedule, perform and document hardware and software updates (TSBs).
• Assist with instrument installations and deinstallations.
• Travel within the service area.
