Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a Collections Specialist to maximize collections and minimize bad debt risk. You will review open accounts, conduct collection calls, and mail correspondences to encourage payment.

The role requires native French, high English, and good Spanish, plus strong communication, problem solving, and AR knowledge. Ability to work in a hybrid model with in-person and Flexible Fridays is noted.

Qualifications

• Native French language required; high English and good Spanish accuracy.
• Strong business writing and professional communication skills.
• 1–2 years’ experience in collections preferred, with customer interactions.
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Accounts Receivable knowledge/experience is a plus.
• Detail oriented with accuracy in records.
• Familiarity with bank products and payment methods (LCs, guarantees, direct debits, cards, checks).
• Assertive negotiation with sales and senior management; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review open accounts for collection efforts.
• Conduct collection calls to recover AR.
• Mail correspondence to customers to encourage payment of overdue receivables.
• Negotiate disputes to resolution and document root cause.
• Develop relationships with internal/external customers.
• Maintain accurate collection files.
