Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 across EMEA. The role emphasizes technical excellence, clear communication with HCPs, SUSs, and FSEs, and overall remote service delivery with occasional onsite needs.

Ideal candidates have engineering or medical backgrounds with robotics experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in multiple languages (Portuguese, English, Italian).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in (biomedical/electrical/mechanical) engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years, or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience analyzing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS, and FSE.
• Drive escalation processes to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities with ownership of continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training/domestic and international.
