Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca is seeking a Luggage Porter to greet guests, handle luggage with care, and support the Concierge team in delivering a luxury arrival experience. Based at the Mallorca property, you will monitor entrances, assist with transportation, maintain a pristine lobby, and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure guests feel welcomed from arrival to departure.

• Effective communication skills in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Prior experience as luggage porter or similar role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and departure and assist with luggage and belongings.
• Tag and store luggage securely and monitor luggage areas for safety.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the lobby and entrances.
• Coordinate with Concierge and transportation services (taxis, airport transfers, valet).
• Ensure a luxury, seamless arrival experience for guests from arrival to departure.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Chief Concierge.

About The Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Luggage Porter, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting guests upon arrival and departure, handling their luggage and any belongings with efficiency and care.

As Luggage Porter, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Handle luggage storage and retrieval, ensuring accurate tagging and adherence to security standards.
• Monitor the hotel entrance and luggage areas, ensuring they remain clear and safe.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the lobby and entrance areas.
• Maintain the presentation of the front of house area to ensure a luxury experience from arrival to departure.
• Assist with transportation arrangements, including taxis, airport transfers and valet services.
• Collaborate with the Concierge team to facilitate guest services efficiently.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Chief Concierge.

As Luggage Porter, we expect from you:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in the same role is preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English and Spanish (additional languages are a plus).
• Well-groomed appearance, adhering to the hotel's grooming standards.
• Legal authorization to work in Spain.
