UST España & Latam is seeking an Application Owner / Python Developer to design, develop, and support business-critical applications for a banking client. The role is hybrid in Madrid (3 days in office, 2 WFH) with relocation possibilities.

You will own the lifecycle of Python-based services, collaborate across business, development, and infrastructure teams, and ensure security and reliability across environments.

Formación

• Linux-based application operations and deployment.
• Strong Python development skills with Django.
• Experience with SQL and enterprise databases (Oracle and Trino preferred).
• Web application development experience using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, especially in multi-system environments.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating environment readiness, issues, and dependencies.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the primary point of contact for an application which manages risk and control data, executes controls, and reports results.
• Plan and manage throughout the application lifecycle, bridging the gap between business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
• Ensure that applications meet business requirements, comply with organizational standards, and deliver reliable services to end users.
• Ensure application environments follow internal security guidelines, audit requirements, and industry standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned applications.
• Manage application lifecycle, including enhancements, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Ensure application availability, performance, security, and compliance.
