UST España & Latam is seeking an Application Owner / Python Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications for a banking client. The role is hybrid in Madrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) with relocation options.

You will lead the lifecycle, bridge business and tech teams, ensure security and compliance, and own end-to-end delivery of Python-based services. Candidates should have strong Django and Linux ops experience.

Formación

• Linux-based application operations and deployment.
• Strong Python development skills with Django.
• Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, Trino).
• Experience with Celery and Redis for background processing.
• Web front-end development with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Git-based development and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in multi-system environments.
• Excellent communication to coordinate readiness and dependencies.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the primary point of contact for an application which manages risk and control data, executes controls, and reports results.
• Plan and manage throughout the application lifecycle, bridging the gap between business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
• Ensure that applications meet business requirements, comply with organizational standards, and deliver reliable services to end users.
• Ensure that all environments follow internal security guidelines, audit requirements, and industry standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned applications.
• Manage application lifecycle, including enhancements, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Ensure application availability, performance, security, and compliance.
