Job summary

La cadena Sofitel Barcelona Skipper ofrece una pasantía en la cocina para estudiantes de hostelería o negocios. El programa incluye formación en mise en place, limpieza de área de trabajo y manejo de equipos, con énfasis en la seguridad y normas de higiene.

El candidato ideal debe estar inscrito en una escuela de hostelería o negocio, con buenas habilidades de comunicación en español e inglés, y disponibilidad de al menos 6 meses a tiempo completo en Barcelona.

Qualifications

• Habilidades de comunicación y relación con equipos y huéspedes.
• Capacidad de trabajar en un entorno dinámico y orientado al servicio.
• Interés por aprender y desarrollar habilidades en cocina y hostelería.

Responsibilities

• Preparar el servicio diario y el mise en place.
• Limpieza y mantenimiento de la zona de trabajo y de los utensilios.
• Uso correcto de maquinaria y EPP de cocina.
• Almacenamiento adecuado de productos y control de fechas de preparación.
• Anotar los productos necesarios para el próximo servicio.
• Orden y limpieza del área de trabajo.
• Cumplimiento de la política ambiental.

Descripción del empleo

• Learn to prepare of the daily service and the mise-en-place.
• Cleaning and maintenance of your work area and the kitchenware.
• Learn to appropriate use of work machines and individual protection equipment.
• Correct storage of the prepared products in the appropriate chamber and identification of the preparation date.
• Annotating the necessary products for the next service.
• Proper order, cleaning, and maintenance of your work area.
• Compliance with the environmental policy.

Requisitos

• Eligibility (Spain): Candidates must have the legal right to undertake an internship in Spain from the start date. No visa/work permit sponsorship available.
• Currently enrolled in a Hospitality School or a Business School.
• Strong social and communication skills to build valued relationships.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent command of Spanish and English; French is a plus.
• Eager to learn (no prior specialization required).
• Available for at least 6 months, 5 days/week, 40 hours/week.
