Sofitel Barcelona Skipper offers a dynamic internship in the kitchen department, located across from Barceloneta beach in Barcelona. You will learn the full kitchen workflow, from mise-en-place to service, while working with a young, enthusiastic team.

The program emphasizes training, language opportunities (Spanish/English), and potential international career development after the internship. Eligibility requires current enrollment in a Hospitality or Business School in Spain.

Formación

• Must be enrolled in a Hospitality or Business School in Spain.
• Excellent social and communication skills are essential.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; French is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Learn to prepare the daily service and the mise-en-place.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of work area and kitchenware.
• Learn proper use of work machines and personal protective equipment.
• Ensure correct storage of prepared products with proper dating.
• Note required products for the next service.
• Maintain order, cleanliness and upkeep of workspace.
• Comply with environmental policy.

• Learn to prepare of the daily service and the mise-en-place.
• Cleaning and maintenance of your work area and the kitchenware.
• Learn to appropriate use of work machines and individual protection equipment.
• Correct storage of the prepared products in the appropriate chamber and identification of the preparation date.
• Annotating the necessary products for the next service.
• Proper order, cleaning, and maintenance of your work area.
• Compliance with the environmental policy.

• Eligibility (Spain): Candidates must have the legal right to undertake an internship in Spain from the start date. No visa/work permit sponsorship available.
• Currently enrolled in a Hospitality School or a Business School.
• Strong social and communication skills to build valued relationships.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent command of Spanish and English; French is a plus.
• Eager to learn (no prior specialization required).
• Available for at least 6 months, 5 days/week, 40 hours/week.
