Nippon Gases is seeking an Innovation Intern for its Early Talents Program in Madrid, at the European Headquarters, to join the European Innovation team and report to the Innovation Director. The role focuses on identifying, evaluating and advancing innovation opportunities across several business areas.

No prior professional experience is required; academic projects or internships in analytics or data-related roles are valued. Fluent English and strong teamwork are essential.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a technical degree in engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• AI and digital productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.

Job description

The Innovation Intern will be based inMadrid, European Headquarters, and will be part of the European Innovation team, reporting to the Innovation Director.

Main Responsibilities

The selected intern will support the EuropeInnovation Team in identifying, evaluating, and advancing innovationopportunities across different line of businesses including electronics, industrialgases, healthcare, engineering, and others.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the evaluation of new technologies, startups, research partners, and innovation ecosystems.
• Conducting market, technology, and competitor research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
• Supporting the preparation of presentations, reports and management updates.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business, technical, scientific, and digital experts.
• Helping organize innovation events and networking activities.
• Supporting innovation projects and strategic initiatives across Europe.

Job requirements

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in: Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Basic knowledge of:Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Microsoft collaboration Suite (Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint)
• AI and digital productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar)
• Fluent English. Additional European languages are a plus.
