Qualifications

• Fluent Dutch and good English, both spoken and written.

• In-depth knowledge of airline fares and fare structures; IATA certificate is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle calls and online requests from business travellers following guidelines and procedures.
• Dig into client needs and proactively suggest options and extras.
• Build tailor-made itineraries by combining flights, hotels and other services.
• Find the best price and connection using fare structures and rules (IATA).
• Make, change and cancel reservations; issue tickets for individual and group travellers.
• Check calculated fares and process tickets to avoid ADMs.
• Keep clients informed about fare, tax and airline changes.
• Prepare confirmations and invoices; check travel documents.
• Upsell related services and prioritise suppliers.
• Follow up on customer satisfaction and handle complaints as first contact.
• Support on-call service during ticketing problems.
• Share knowledge and help new colleagues with questions.

Are you an experienced travel professional who knows fare structures inside out and enjoys finding the best connection at the best price? Our client, an established business travel provider, is looking for a Senior Business Travel Specialist to join its contact center team in central Málaga. You'll advise and book tailor-made trips for corporate clients, take on complex ticketing, and help newer colleagues grow.

What you'll do

• Handle calls and online requests from business travellers, following clear guidelines and procedures
• Dig into each client's needs, think along with them and proactively suggest options and extras they hadn't thought of
• Build tailor-made itineraries (dynamic packaging) by combining flights, hotels and other services, often across complex routes
• Find the best price and connection for each trip, using in-depth knowledge of fare structures, conditions and rules (IATA)
• Make, change and cancel reservations in booking systems, and issue tickets for individual and group travellers
• Check calculated ticket fares and process tickets correctly to avoid ADMs
• Keep clients informed about fare, tax and airline changes
• Prepare booking confirmations and invoices, and check travel documents
• Upsell related and additional services, and prioritise preferred suppliers
• Follow up on customer satisfaction and handle complaints as the first point of contact
• Support the on-call service when ticketing problems come up
• Share your knowledge, help new colleagues with their questions and support their development
• Work flexibly across different offices and client accounts

What you bring

• Fluent Dutch and good English, both spoken and written
• Solid experience in business travel or ticketing
• In-depth knowledge of airline fares, fare structures and conditions; an IATA certificate is a strong plus
• Experience with a GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo)
• A strong customer-service and commercial mindset
• Accuracy and attention to detail, especially with fares, bookings and invoices
• Enjoyment in coaching others and sharing knowledge
• Flexibility and a willingness to keep up with changing products, suppliers and procedures
