Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is seeking a Chef de Rang to join Restaurant Blanc and deliver exceptional dining experiences in a luxury environment. Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Food & Beverage Department, the Chef de Rang reports to the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager.

You will master our menu and wine knowledge, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, ensure flawless setup, and provide attentive, professional service aligned with MO standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining.
• Fluent English and Spanish; additional languages valued.
• Previous Chef de Rang, Waiter/Waitress or similar role in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge; wine knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional and personalized food & beverage service in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Take orders accurately, provide menu recommendations and product knowledge.
• Ensure correct setup, cleanliness and presentation of the station before, during and after service.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to guarantee timely service delivery.
• Anticipate guest needs, handle requests and resolve concerns professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, wine list and daily specials.
• Process payments accurately and follow cash handling procedures.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
