Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca is seeking a Chef de Partie to join the Culinary team. You will oversee a specific kitchen section, ensuring dishes meet the highest standards while maintaining cleanliness and safety compliance.

You will train junior staff, manage stock, and collaborate with senior chefs on menu development, contributing to the restaurant's luxury dining experience on Mallorca’s coast.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in a high-volume, quality kitchen.
• Experience in managing a specific section and training junior staff.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Additional food safety certifications (e.g., HACCP) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to maintain high standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in your kitchen section.
• Manage food stock levels, assist in ordering and minimize waste.
• Ensure consistency in presentation and quality per restaurant specifications.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu development.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in daily specials and seasonal menu planning.
• Work as part of a team with clear communication across kitchen staff.
