Julius Baer in Madrid is seeking an experienced IT application support professional to lead the technical change for core banking applications and manage their lifecycle.

You will handle 2nd-level operations, incident processing within SLAs, and coordinate across incident managers, service owners, and agile teams.

The role also includes on-call duties, change administration, weekend releases, and ongoing documentation and process improvement.

Formación

• Completed IT training (Degree in Computer Science or IT-related certification).
• At least 2 years of professional experience in application support.
• Good Unix know-how; shell scripting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Windows Server operating system.
• Knowledge of Java application server and databases; AWA is a plus.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Ideally banking experience and knowledge of financial products.
• Process-oriented and analytical approach.
• Enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Good written and spoken English; German is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure operation of core banking applications with 2nd-level support.
• Process incident tickets generated by monitoring systems and local service desk within SLAs.
• Coordinate between incident managers, application owners, 3rd-level support, IT/Agile teams and stakeholders.
• Takeover of periodic on-call duty (weekly 7x24).
• Administer change requests for application-related processes.
• Participate in periodic releases on weekends.
• Engage in projects related to operational aspects for existing or integrated apps.
• Routine data cleansing of the systems.
• Process optimization and automation of repetitive tasks, handover to L1.
• Keep application operation documentation up to date.
