Job summary

Mercor is seeking Telugu annotators to build high-quality training data for Telugu documents. You will verify pages, bound regions, and reading order while preserving exact Telugu text, including handwritten content.

You'll annotate structure, link regions to figures or tables, and capture metadata. A second Telugu expert reviews your work to ensure accuracy and consistency across hundreds of pages.

Qualifications

• Native Telugu speaker with full command of Telugu script and orthography.

Responsibilities

• Open and check a task and verify Telugu content before annotation.
• Annotate structure by bounding meaningful regions and assigning types and reading order.
• Record relationships between regions and corresponding figures or tables.
• Transcribe faithfully in Telugu script, including handwritten content.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, and flags for tables and handwriting.
• Review work through a second Telugu expert to ensure accuracy.
