CityTouch is a remote light management solution for roads and streets. It comprises road luminaires with a controller unit, which can communicate with a Cloud backend service to allow remote control and monitoring. We are migrating our CityTouch customers to Interact City, the successor system.

For the Cloud Center of Excellence, we are looking for a working student. You will be based in our European Operations Centre in Aachen.

Connecting millions of IOT devices in the lighting domain, we’re looking for a Student worker who will support us on a specific mission. You will build data analytics tools using AWS Web Services (AWS Cloud) infrastructure and data sources and provide a reliable basis for business decisions. You will be part of an international distributed team and working together with various operations and development teams.

• Write scripts to aggregate and analyze IOT data
• Roll out data analytics tools to different systems
• Support the visualization of the data analytics results

• You are currently enrolled in a bachelor or master program in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable subject and experience in most of the below areas.
• First touchpoints with the AWS cloud and eager to learn cloud technologies
• Software development knowledge in a higher language e.g Python
• Software testing experience a plus
• Grafana as visualization tool a plus
• Fluent in English is a must, German knowledge is a plus
• The position mandates working from our office in Aachen. If you do not reside close to the office, we are seeking candidates who are open to relocating
