Exide Technologies’ Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems (BESS and C&I). Exide's technology portfolio spans from multiple lead-acid over to lithium-ion technologies supporting the global energy transition and digitalization. Our storage systems are used in UPS, Telecom, Datacenters, Public Transport, in Front-of- and Behind-the-Meter applications and many more.

For our Customized Energy Systems business, which is providing Commercial & Industrial and large BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) storage systems, based on Lithium-ion technologies, we are looking for a

Technical Project Manager (m / f / x) Electrical Engineering

In this business, we specialized on energy storage solutions that serve a multitude of applications, including renewable energy, time shift, self-consumption, frequency control, peak shaving, fast charging, and energy trading. Our solutions are utilized for electric vehicle charging, renewable energy integration, and more.

The job of the Project Manager is technically focused and needs to consult our customers from the conception over to the execution and aftersales phase in all technical questions, this spans review of technical specifications and regulations. The role is the first technical contact of our customers, including 1st level support and works hand in hand with our Sales teams. Key internal stakeholders are R&D, System and Software Engineers, Operations etc.

The role is based in Büdingen (near Frankfurt); Homeoffice is offered with the preferred region near Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen or Essen. Regular travelling to our R&D center in the Netherlands and to customers is required.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

• First competent contact person for the development of concepts for the planning and realization of projects.
• Supporting the sales department with regard to technical issues during customer visits on site.
• Full responsibility for the entire project management (incl. coordination and organization of the associated project processes).
• Progress meetings with the customer, as well as supervision during installation and testing with acceptance of the electrical system.
• Support in the creation of technical project specifications in collaboration with our customers.
• Preparation of all documents and protocols required for customer acceptance.
• Obtaining and analyzing offers, as well as training and monitoring external service providers.

What we ask for :

• Completed technical apprenticeship and a master craftsman or technician qualification (specializing in electrical engineering or similar).
• Several years of relevant, practical project experience, ideally in the field of renewable energies.
• You have knowledge of the legal regulations relevant to the job.
• Customer-orientated work is a matter of course for you.
• The skills required in this role are teamwork, structured planning, organization and a sense of responsibility.
• You have a high level of digital competence. You are confident in the use of common IT applications, especially MS Office, the graphic creation of electrical circuit diagrams as part of the technical documentation.
• On-site project support, which requires a travelling (approx. 20%) and a valid class B driving license.
• You have a very good command of written and spoken German and English.
