Portfolio Manager – European Renewable Energy Leader

I’m currently partnering with a leading European renewable energy company in their search for an experienced Portfolio Manager. This is a pivotal role at the forefront of the energy transition, focusing on managing power market exposure across a diverse, international portfolio of renewable assets.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping and executing a multi-year power hedging strategy across core European markets. Working closely with originators and cross-functional teams, you'll evaluate and structure optimal hedging approaches for both individual projects and broader portfolios.

Your work will include:

• Designing and implementing 5-year forward-looking position management strategies
• Quantitatively evaluating hedging scenarios, instruments, and timing
• Developing market views, forecasting long-term electricity price trends
• Supporting the development of new hedging products and risk management tools
• Creating performance KPIs and building automated reporting tools
• Leveraging analytics and modelling to optimize energy trading decisions

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years’ experience in energy trading, risk management, or portfolio hedging
• Academic background in engineering, economics, mathematics, or similar fields
• Solid knowledge of stochastic or fundamental modelling and statistical analysis
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Python, R, SQL, and working with APIs is a bonus
• Confident communicator with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insight
• Comfortable working across departments in a fast-paced, international environment
