Position: IAM Project Manager

Location: Lower Saxony, Germany

Type: Full-time/Remote

Optional Position Minimum 2 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
Minimum Experience: 5 years in IAM project management, 10 successful IAM projects

Job Summary:
The IAM Project Manager is responsible for leading full-cycle implementation projects of IAM software solutions within public sector institutions. This includes defining project scope, setting timelines, allocating resources, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring successful delivery of IAM functionalities such as identity provisioning, policy enforcement, and role management. The Project Manager acts as the central coordinator between clients, technical teams, vendors, and internal departments.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute IAM implementation projects aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards (e.g., BSI Grundschutz, ISO 27001).
• Lead kickoff sessions, requirements gathering, and risk assessments.
• Manage cross-functional project teams including consultants, system integrators, and IT administrators.
• Ensure that project deliverables are on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Conduct regular project status reviews and progress reporting to stakeholders.
• Mitigate risks through proactive planning and issue management.
• Coordinate change management and training efforts as part of project rollouts.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing IAM or IT infrastructure projects in regulated or public environments.
• Strong understanding of IAM architectures, protocols, and lifecycle management.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
