As a Game Economy Designer at GameDuell, you are the key to a dynamic and sustainable gaming experience. You will design and optimize the economic mechanisms of our innovative F2P board and card games. Your ideas will help players immerse themselves in our games, play strategically, and have an enjoyable and rewarding experience - all in an environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

Since 2003, more than 130 million players have played with us, and we offer a broad portfolio of over 40 casual online skill games.

• Design and maintain game economies: Develop frameworks for in-game currencies and virtual goods, ensuring balance and player engagement through effective reward systems
• Monitor and adjust post-launch: Oversee the game economy after launch, refining it based on data analysis and player feedback to enhance satisfaction and retention
• Provide clear system and economy documentation, diagrams, calculation models, analyses, wireframes, and/or prototypes
• Effectively communicate your ideas and design decisions to the product team to align the game economy with overall design and business objectives
• Work closely with game designers to match desired player behavior, systems, and creative game design for maximum effect

What we expect

• At least 3 years of proven successful work experience in game system design, balancing, pacing & monetization strategies for F2P games
• Background in economics, mathematics, statistics, or related fields
• Understanding of the principles of free-to-play game monetization, including in-app purchases, and how to balance player enjoyment with revenue generation
• Passion for board and card games and a deep understanding of the mechanics, strategies, and concepts that make those games engaging and replayable
• You are able to interpret data from player interactions, identify patterns and trends, and use these insights to optimize game mechanics and the overall player experience
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques like Excel or Google Sheets
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English language
