The role sits within the Building System Team (BST) which is a Product Development department responsible for the engineering of GROPYUS scalable timber building product.

In this position you will lead a team organisationally and functionally. You are responsible for the overall results of your team and the functional areas associated. The team you lead works closely with the Software Technology teams and our in-house Robotic Factory.

A key mission of the team is the digitisation of the Building System engineering output to enable scalable Sales Planning Purchasing Production and Construction. Our inhouse Robotic Production is a particularly important field of responsibility.

GROPYUS delivers Buildings on scale and hence relies on digital data-driven processes across the entire value chain. Your role is central to refine and execute GROPYUS technical vision of scalable digital processes. You and the team work on their development implementation and optimisation hands‑on and in close collaboration with the Tech Teams.

• Within the Building System Development Unit: Structural DfMA Architecture MEP BAF (Building Physics Acoustics Fire Protection)
• Cross-functional partners: Digital Building System & Planning (Technology) Production Engineering Factory Operations Project Delivery (Acquisition to Construction Site)

• Translating Building System logic and specifications (e.g. standard detail drawings) into digital data (e.g. via our proprietary Rulebook and parameterisation engine)
• Leading the development and operation of review & approval processes of data generated by our parametric systems to ensure correct factory-ready production data
• Managing and evolving Digital Twins including coordination of production‑ & assembly data
• Coordinating assembly drawings for internal and external stakeholders
• Managing data‑related issue tickets from Production via ticketing system
• Team management (organisational and functional)

• You are qualified in structural or architectural engineering and able to take responsibility for data which goes to suppliers production and construction
• You are an expert in parametric computational design (Rhino required bonus coding languages) and able to apply your extensive experience to shape the most suitable process‑solution for the business needs today and in the future
• A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem‑solving across disciplines
• Leadership and team management skills
• Bonus: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Wrike Jira Asana)
• Fluent English skills, good German skills are beneficial
