A leading tech startup in Berlin is seeking a finance intern to support founders in financial planning and strategic decision-making. The internship involves budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, along with building financial models and analyzing key metrics. Support the founders and leadership team on financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision‑making at Peec AI
Work closely with the founders and our Head of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and day‑to‑day finance operations such as month‑end close processes and invoice tracking.
Build and maintain financial models related to revenue, pricing, unit economics, and growth scenarios
Analyze key financial and operational metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, burn, runway) and turn data into clear insights and recommendations
Assist with monthly reporting, board materials, and investor updates
Support (external) fundraising and grant applications, investor diligence, and ad‑hoc strategic analyses as needed
Take ownership of finance‑related projects end‑to‑end, from problem framing to execution and presentation
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
Proven experience through 1–2 internships or roles in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting
Strong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to break down complex problems and work with numbers confidently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you can clearly explain financial insights to non‑finance stakeholders
Curiosity about startups, technology, and how high‑growth companies are built and scaled
Low‑ego team player who’s comfortable working closely with founders and getting hands‑on with operational work
Experience building financial models, forecasts, or dashboards
Exposure to SaaS metrics, subscription businesses, or usage‑based pricing models
Familiarity with accounting basics, financial statements, or reporting processes
Experience in a fast‑paced or high‑ownership environment
Strong interest in venture‑backed companies, and the startup ecosystem
