Job summary

ALTEN in Germany seeks a V.I.E System Safety Engineer for Aeronautics in Bayern. You will perform System Safety Assessments (SSA) and Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA) to ensure compliance with aerospace safety requirements, review technical documentation, and support risk mitigation.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement safety requirements across complex systems. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree and have exposure to SSA/FHA, with strong analytical skills and

Qualifications

• EU citizenship and 18–28 age for VIE
• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable field
• Ideally experience with System Safety Analysis (SSA) and Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA)
• Background in the aerospace industry and understanding of aerospace systems and development processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a structured, independent manner
• Excellent communication and teamwork in an international, multidisciplinary environment

YOU...

• fulfill the general V.I.E program requirements (EU graduate, aged between 18 and 28 years)
• hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field
• ideally already have experience with System Safety Analysis (SSA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), and system-level safety assessments
• possess a background in the aerospace industry and an understanding of aerospace systems and development processes
• demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are able to work in a structured and independent manner
• communicate effective and enjoy working closely with colleagues in an international and multidisciplinary environment
