Your Tasks

As a young talent with an entrepreneurial mindset and the courage to shape the future, the Start up! Trainee program offers you 18 months to learn and thrive. We aim to give you a broad, diverse insight into our organization and the opportunity to leave your comfort zone and explore new topics to develop your full potential. Opportunities include:

  1. Get started and drive your career! You will have 5 assignments, each lasting 3 months, to discover and develop your personal career path. Your first assignment will be within Public & Regulatory Affairs, with options to choose your focus.
  2. Step out of your comfort zone! After your first assignment, decide which topics to explore further or explore new ones. We support you with a broad network.
  3. Broaden your network and experience the trainee community! Fridays are dedicated to the Start up! Community on Magenta Friday, working on strategic innovation and growth projects, enhancing your network and skills.
  4. Go international! At least one assignment will be abroad, benefiting from Deutsche Telekom's global presence.
  5. Understand our business! During Service Days, gain insights into how Deutsche Telekom operates with customers, through activities like visiting T-shops or Service Centers.
  6. Never stop learning! Take advantage of a learning budget for personal development and skill-building.
  7. Choose your individual start date each quarter, in consultation with your supervisor.
Your Profile

You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in law, economics, business administration, political sciences, or a comparable program. You are enthusiastic about analytical thinking, innovation, curiosity, and questioning facts.

Additional Requirements:
  • Relevant Experience: At least 6 months of internships or initial professional experience focusing on Politics, Regulatory Affairs, and Competition Law, Industry Associations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intercultural Competence: International diversity is vital; international experience through studying abroad, work, or travel is required.
  • Social Engagement: Passionate about driving change; experience in social or entrepreneurial projects is highly valued.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (C1 level) and willing to learn German independently.
