Job summary

ABOUT YOU is a fast-growing e-commerce company based in Hamburg and Berlin, focused on fashion and technology. We seek a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to own testing across the Purchase & Post Purchase domain and help drive continuous improvement in quality.

You will perform manual testing for the ABOUT YOU mobile app, collaborate with engineers on testing strategies, and own bug reports while contributing to automated testing initiatives and regression testing for high-quality feature

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, and debugging frontend applications, preferably mobile apps and large-scale projects.
• Proficient in manual testing techniques including exploratory and destructive testing, as well as automated testing.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence enabling effective collaboration and organisation.
• Strong knowledge and experience with testing tools, particularly TestRail, for test management and reporting.
• Ability to grasp complex technical systems for efficient testing and debugging.

• Collaborate with app engineers to understand requirements and input testing strategies.
• Oversee application quality and contribute to a strong user experience.

• Contribute to developing and enhancing ABOUT YOU's automated testing strategy.
• Coordinate app release tasks and perform regression testing.
• Advocate for product quality within cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate testing efforts to ensure delivery of high-quality features.

• Perform high-quality manual testing for theABOUT YOU Mobile App, covering the whole customer journey
• Collaborate closely with app engineers to understand project requirements and provide input on testing strategies
• Oversee the quality of the application and contribute to creating a strong user experience
• Take ownership of bug reports or tickets from internal and external stakeholders, prioritizethem based on their business value, and ensure timely resolution
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of ABOUT YOU's long-term automated testing strategy
• Coordinate app release tasks and perform regression testing
• Act as an advocate for product quality within a cross-functional development team, promoting best practices and driving continuous improvement
• Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality features
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, and debugging of frontend applications, preferably mobile apps and large-scale projects
• Proficient in manual testing techniques, including exploratory and destructive testing, as well as automated testing
• Familiarity with process and ticketing tools such as Jira and Confluence, enabling effective collaboration and organisation
• Strong knowledge and experience with testing tools, particularly TestRail, for efficient test management and reporting
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical systems, allowing for efficient testing and debugging activities
• Detail-oriented approach to testing, with a strong focus on test case design as well as business value and user experience of software
• Passion for delivering innovative features quickly while maintaining high reliability standards
• Experience working with agile methodologies and implementing a quality mindset in an agile environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
• Fluent in English, demonstrating proficiency in both speaking and writing
