ABOUT YOU SE & Co. KG in Hamburg is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for the Purchasing Interface to build high-traffic web apps using PHP (Laravel) and Vue.js or React.js.

You will own features end-to-end, from design to production, and collaborate with a Lead Engineer on architecture and technology choices. You will ship code several times daily via a CI/CD pipeline (GitLab) to AWS ECS, monitor health with Datadog, and continuously improve performance while delivering a top-notch user

Qualifikationen

• Excellent coding skills in PHP 8 (Laravel).
• Experience with Vue.js 3 or React.js.
• Experience in designing and implementing E2E, integration & unit tests.
• Background in building complex and beautiful products with excellent user experience.
• Expertise in designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with AWS, Git, Redis, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with relational database design & performance optimization (MySQL 8).
• Commitment to writing well-structured, maintainable code in an English-speaking environment.

What you will do

• Build high-traffic web applications with PHP (Laravel) & Vue.JS or React.JS
• Build internal & external RESTful API as well as Background Jobs (peak times: > 1 million jobs per hour)
• Engage in decisions ranging from UI design to application architecture, together with the Lead Engineer, and explore new technologies
• Lead the technical conception of features that support a newly designed business process.
• Take full ownership of the features you build, from the initial code commit to ensuring they run smoothly in production. You'll be responsible for their health, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Ship code with confidence multiple times a day using our CI/CD Pipeline (Gitlab) to our hosting platform (AWS Elastic Container Service)
• Monitor applications with industry-standard tools (Datadog) through Dashboards & Alerting
• Learn from other developers in a highly skilled team and present your ideas in our regular Tech talks
• Join a pragmatic agile team that values shipping quality code over the full SCRUM ceremony

Who you are

• Excellent coding skills in PHP 8 (Laravel)
• Experience with Vue.JS 3or React.JS
• Experience in designing and implementing E2E, integration & unit tests
• Solid background in building complex and beautiful products which provide an excellent user experience
• Expertise in designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs
• Experience working with AWS, Git, Redis, or equivalent
• Hand-on Experience with relational database design & performance optimization (i. e. MySQL 8)
• Passionate about writing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, actively keeping the quality of the code base in check
• Ready to work in an English-speaking environment
