ABOUT YOU is a fast-growing e-commerce company based in Hamburg and Berlin. We build a high-traffic purchasing interface and empower engineers to own features end-to-end.

Senior Fullstack Engineer will work with PHP (Laravel) & Vue.js to design RESTful APIs, implement tests, and ensure production health. You'll ship code via a CI/CD pipeline on AWS and contribute to scalable, maintainable software in an English-speaking team.

Qualifikationen

• Proficient in PHP 8 with Laravel and modern PHP practices.
• Strong experience with Vue.js (Vue 3) and component-based UI development.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including security and scalability.
• Experience with end-to-end, integration, and unit testing in a production environment.
• Ability to design and optimize relational databases (MySQL) and write efficient queries.

• Build high-traffic web applications with PHP (Laravel) & Vue.js.

• Contribute to UI design and overall application architecture with the Lead Engineer.
• Own features from code commit to production, focusing on health and performance.

What you will do

Build high-traffic web applications with PHP (Laravel) & Vue.JS

Build internal & external RESTful API as well as Background Jobs (peak times: > 1 million jobs per hour)

Engage in decisions ranging from UI design to application architecture, together with the Lead Engineer, and explore new technologies

Lead the technical conception of features that support a newly designed business process.

Take full ownership of the features you build, from the initial code commit to ensuring they run smoothly in production. You'll be responsible for their health, performance, and long-term maintainability.

Ship code with confidence multiple times a day using our CI/CD Pipeline (Gitlab) to our hosting platform (AWS Elastic Container Service)

Monitor applications with industry-standard tools (Datadog) through Dashboards & Alerting

Learn from other developers in a highly skilled team and present your ideas in our regular Tech talks

Join a pragmatic agile team that values shipping quality code over the full SCRUM ceremony

Who you are

• Excellent coding skills in PHP 8 (Laravel)
• Experience with Vue 3
• Experience in designing and implementing E2E, integration & unit tests
• Solid background in building complex and beautiful products which provide an excellent user experience
• Expertise in designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs
• Experience working with AWS, Git, Valkey, or equivalent
• Hand-on Experience with relational database design & performance optimization (i. e. MySQL 8)
• Passionate about writing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, actively keeping the quality of the code base in check
• Ready to work in an English-speaking environment
