Senior Operations Manager (f/m/x) – Inland water transport

Location: Germany (Duisburg, Hamburg) / Netherlands / Belgium

Your Responsibilities:

• Managing the end-to-end chartering and scheduling of barges and inland vessels
• Acting as a reliable, strategic contact for key clients and partners
• Coordinating with shippers and service providers, overseeing the full transport process from planning to delivery
• Leading daily operational meetings to ensure smooth execution across teams
• Conducting onboard vessel visits to maintain communication with crews and monitor service quality
• Maintaining and developing long-term customer relationships through regular contact and visits

Your Profile:

• At least 5 to 10 years of experience in inland shipping or managing transport operations for chemical products
• Ability to manage operational logistics and customer-facing responsibilities
• Strong ownership, reliability, and organizational skills
• Confident communication with customers, crews, and internal teams
• Fluent in English; German and/or Dutch are highly valued; French is a plus
