Sonova Group in Berlin is seeking a Senior Manager Finance & Controlling to lead end‑to‑end finance and controlling for the Berlin site. This role combines financial controlling, planning and reporting with business partnering and governance, reporting to the Berlin management team as part of a broader Finance team.

You will own month‑end close, forecasts and budgets while partnering with stakeholders to drive efficiency and sound financial decisions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years in finance, FP&A, controlling or a comparable finance role.
• Experience owning a substantial finance scope (site finance, P&L, or large OPEX).
• Experience with a large ERP environment and hands‑on with financial data.
• Strong analytical skills and business understanding.
• Business-partnering mindset with governance awareness.
• Excellent English and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Act as trusted Finance Business Partner to Berlin management and stakeholders, providing financial insight and supporting decisions.
• Own key finance processes for the Berlin site: month‑end close, forecasting, budgeting and planning.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial performance: OPEX, cost centers, FTE, balance sheet and KPIs.
• Monitor performance vs budget, identify variances and risks, propose actions.
• Ensure strong financial governance and controls (ICS, DOA compliance, Group policies, audit support).
• Question and improve finance processes to be efficient and scalable as the site grows.

Senior Manager Finance & Controlling (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior Manager Finance & Controlling to take end-to-end responsibility for finance and controlling activities for our Berlin site. This is a broad, hands‑on individual contributor role combining financial controlling, planning and reporting with business partnering, governance and continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with the Berlin management team and functional stakeholders while being part of a wider Finance team.

Your responsibilities

• Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the Berlin management team and functional stakeholders, providing financial insight and supporting business decisions
• Take ownership of key finance processes for the Berlin site, including month‑end close, forecasting, budgeting and financial planning
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial performance, including OPEX, cost centers, FTE, balance sheet items and other relevant KPIs
• Monitor performance against budget, identify variances and financial risks, and recommend appropriate actions
• Ensure strong financial governance and controls, including ICS, DOA compliance, Group Finance policies and audit support
• Challenge existing ways of working and help establish efficient and scalable finance processes as the Berlin site continues to develop

What you bring

• A university degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant finance experience, ideally across financial analysis, FP&A, controlling or a comparable finance role
• Experience taking ownership of a substantial finance scope, such as site finance, P&L responsibility or a significant OPEX/cost base
• Experience working with a large ERP environment and confidence working hands‑on with financial data
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, combined with a good understanding of the business
• A genuine business‑partnering mindset and the confidence to challenge and push back when required from a finance and governance perspective
• Excellent English and communication skills
