Job summary

Sonova seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to shape customer-facing marketing experiences and care platforms. Join our Technology team in a hybrid Berlin setup to design scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-native solutions using TypeScript, Node.js, GCP, and Terraform.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-impact digital products that serve millions of customers worldwide while upholding strong architecture, testing, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Cloud (GCP/AWS) and IaC experience with Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications, services, and integrations.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Contribute to cloud-native solutions running on Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and continuously improve system reliability and performance.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Design automation solutions supporting customer care and operational processes.

We are looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers to join our Technology organization and help shape customer-facing marketing digital experiences and customer care platforms that support our global growth.

Your responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications, services, and integrations
• Develop robust backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js
• Contribute to cloud-native solutions running on Google Cloud Platform

Your Profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Solid experience with cloud (GCP/AWS) + Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
• Strong understanding of software architecture, code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Passionate about building high-quality digital products
• Business-minded and interested in understanding how technology creates value
