Job summary

HOFFMANN EITLE is seeking an (Senior) IT Operations Manager to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure. You will manage third-party providers, analyze incidents, and drive changes and projects across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.

Ideally, you bring 5+ years in IT operations and strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID, plus ITSM experience. You will collaborate with internal teams and external providers while progressing into a leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in IT Operations, IT Infrastructure, System Engineering, Cloud Operations, or Technical Service Management.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with Active Directory and hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
• Solid understanding of networking, endpoint management, IT security, and backup/recovery processes.
• Experience in incident, problem, and change management, plus root cause analyses.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes, ticketing systems, and technical documentation.
• Ideally experience with Intune, Defender, Conditional Access, PowerShell, or Azure Automation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a stable, secure, and high-performing IT infrastructure and services.
• Manage service providers, monitor SLAs, risks, and escalations.
• Analyze complex incidents and perform root cause analyses for permanent resolution.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement changes, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and standardize operational processes, runbooks, and documentation.
• Improve monitoring, reporting, and automation to boost efficiency and quality.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and business continuity requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external providers.
• Grow into a leadership role leading the IT Operations team.

• Ensuring compliance with operational security and regulatory requirements, as well as supporting business continuity and disaster recovery concepts
• Close collaboration with internal departments, the Head of IT, and external service providers
• Development into a leadership role with responsibility for leading the IT Operations team

What sets you apart

As a (Senior) IT Operations Manager

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field, or a completed IT-related vocational qualification combined with relevant professional experience
• At least 5 years of professional experience in IT Operations, IT Infrastructure, System Engineering, Cloud Operations, or Technical Service Management
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience with Active Directory as well as hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
• Solid understanding of networking, endpoint management, IT security, and backup and recovery processes
• Experience in incident, problem, and change management, as well as conducting root cause analyses
• Practical experience with IT service management processes, ticketing systems, and technical documentation
• Ideally, experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, PowerShell, or Azure Automation
