Our client is a global food and chemicals organisation seeking an experienced Build Project Manager to lead the execution of a major industrial project involving the construction of a new tank park. The role combines strong project management capability with technical oversight of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems, ensuring structured commissioning and successful start‑up.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Drive the execution of a large‑scale build project, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on E&I systems, automation, and commissioning processes to ensure compliance with design and operational standards.
- Commissioning Management: Plan and oversee structured commissioning activities, ensuring smooth integration of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Lead internal teams and manage contractors, suppliers, and client relationships across all project phases.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements throughout construction and commissioning.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical and execution challenges proactively.
Ideal Profile
- Proven experience managing construction and commissioning projects in industrial environments.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Background in electrical and instrumentation automation highly desirable.
- Experience in sectors such as edible oils, food, chemicals, or oil & gas is a plus.
- Skilled in structured project execution, stakeholder engagement, and cost/schedule control.
- Familiarity with process control systems (e.g., Siemens PCS7, S7) advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German language proficiency preferred.
